Canopy Funders (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a membership-based organization that supports corporate climate, environmental, sustainability, and energy transition grantmakers. We are based in Washington State and are committed to safeguarding your privacy and personal information.

  • Name, title, and professional affiliation

  • Contact details (email, phone, mailing address)

  • Membership tier and participation history

  • Event attendance and engagement records

b. Organizational Contributions

  • Templates, tools, or strategies submitted to shared repositories

  • Participation in co-created Products

c. Platform & Usage Data

  • Login activity, resource downloads, and posts on Canopy’s digital platform

  • Survey responses and feedback

d. Technical Data

  • IP addresses, browser types, access logs (collected passively for security and analytics)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Facilitate your participation in member events, programs, and tools

  • Maintain the Canopy Funders digital platform and membership directory

  • Send communications, updates, and impact surveys

  • Administer shared Products, tools, and resources

  • Evaluate and improve our services

We will not sell or lease your information to third parties.

4. Information Sharing

  • With other Canopy Funders members, for collaboration and learning purposes (e.g. directory, co-creation spaces)

We do not share information with marketers or unrelated third parties.

5. Data Security

We retain member records for as long as your membership is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our organizational policies, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Canopy Funders services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email or posted prominently on our platform.
